Most people believe in “lifelong learning,” but when I ask them whether they have anything planned in the area of “personal development,” the answer usually contains words and phrases such as ‘too busy’ ‘eventually’ ‘next year’ possibly’ ‘more time’.
What they fail to recognise is that personal development brings with it advantages to all areas of our lives: career, finances, family, relationships, health, spirituality, service.
It helps to bring each individual area into balance and with balance come the benefits of improved self-confidence, self-awareness, self-esteem, self-discipline and sense of purpose, greater strength of mind, better focus, refined communication skills and higher emotional intelligence.
